AfterCrew: Jewish for Good’s After-school Program at The Lerner School

We are now offering expanded after-school opportunities at The Lerner School for Durham Public Schools students from Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Jewish for Good (1937 W. Cornwallis Road) is in bus transportation zone for the following schools: Lakewood, Hope Valley, Morehead Montessori, and Forest View Elementary.

We recommend reaching out to your school's administration to confirm bus routes for the 2025-2026 school year and request Jewish for Good as your bus drop off location.

Our 2025-2026 session runs from August 26, 2025 through June 9, 2026.

Pricing:
Jewish for Good members =$335/month
Non-members = $370/month

A typical afternoon’s schedule includes:

  • Snack

  • Afternoon meeting

  • Quiet homework time

  • Outside free time

  • Activity of the day (hatching caterpillars, making homemade waffles, engineering egg drops, etc.)

  • Indoor free time (crocheting, building with LEGO bricks, making friendship bracelet, etc.)

  • 6pm pick-up time

We welcome friends of all faiths! Although we infuse Jewish content into daily activities, we ensure that this programming is accessible and engaging for all students.

Our AfterCrew program emphasizes the values of inclusion, open-mindedness, curiosity, and kindness.
