We are so very sorry to hear of the passing of Donald Jeffrey Goldstein — David Yosef ben Avraham v’Hannah, who passes away September 10, at the age of 74, in his home in Durham, NC. Our sympathies are with Sheila Goldstein, Debbie Goldstein and Steve Prince, Avery and Hannah Price, and their families.

We extend condolences to Rachelle Bienstock, Scott Snyder, Julia, Shira, and their families — on the death of Rachelle’s beloved brother, Julia and Shira’s uncle, Jeffrey Bienstock — Yehuda Yisrael ben Yirmeyahu v’Elka, whic passed away suddenly on Monday night, September 5 in New York.

May peace find Barbara, Jereme, Summer, Bayne, Elliott, Ila, and their families after the death of Herbert “Herb” Franklin Album — Tzvi ben Avraham haLevi v’Rivka, who passed away on Saturday, September 3 at the age of 77 at his home in Durham, NC.

Our thoughts are with Mrs. Elsa Waller on the death of her beloved husband of 65 years, Dr. Julian Arnold Waller — Yosef Chaim ben Binyamin. Dr. Waller was also the loving father to Seth and Naomi, and loving grandfather to Jackson, Elizabeth, and Kayla. May Julian’s memory be a blessing.

We extend condolences to Yonat Shimron and Jonathan Weiler on the death of Yonat’s beloved father Dr. Yosef Shimron — Yosef ben Shprinza v’Asher, who dies on Tuesday morning August 23 in Haifa, Israel.

May Nikki Naomi Hoffman Schiro — Naomi bat Avraham rest in peace, and may comfort find her sister Sheri Hoffman and family. Nikki passed away at the age of 74, in Panorama City, CA.

Eileen and Murray are sitting shiva in Brookline, MA.

Rabbi Sager has been such a meaningful part of our community and, for his incredible contributions, was the most recent recipient of our Annual Jewish Educator of the Year Award. The Jewish for Good family extends our deepest condolences to Sabina, his wife of forty-nine years; his children Ariele and Avrami, Jacob and Ali, and Noah and Allie; his grandchildren Maya, Daniyel, Gefen, Yehuda, Zoe, Sasha, and Georgia (of blessed memory); his brother Barry, and David and Natalie; and to the entire Beth El Synagogue community in Durham, NC, where he served for over thirty years.

It is with deep sadness that we share that David Benjamin Wolgin, son of Neal Wolgin and Elizabeth Singer and brother of Hannah Wolgin, died on December 29. We extend our condolences to Neal, Elizabeth and Hannah.

We extend condolences to Nathan and Rachel Bearman and their family on the death of Nathan’s beloved great-aunt, Pearl “Pearlie” Fuchs Schechter, Chaya Pessi bat Shlomo v’Simmah, who passed away on Wednesday, December 15, in Chapel Hill at the age of 102.
